The man in front of Laura was large. Mountain Large. His skin was golden coloured. He had long black hair that was tied in an elaborate top knot like a samurai. He had a large friendly face that you could trust immediately. He carried a dried gourd decorated with grasses and shells. Her fingers flew over the keyboard as she did a quick a google search that told her it was called an 'uli'uli. He was dressed in a large trenchcoat and had on a white fedora.
"Hello Laura, my name is Ku'uaki. I am a friend of Abby's and I think it is time we had a talk."
Laura had her coat halfway on when she came to her senses. Who was this guy? Did he really know Abby? How did he get in here?
"How did you get past security?"
"The Wind lent me her power to past through the door."
This was not what Laura was expecting to hear. Her cynical brain told her that turning into wind was impossible. The rest of her brain was more accepting based on her recent experiences.
"Who are you?"
"As I said, I am currently called Ku'uaki."
"What are you?"
"I am a gateway between the spirits of the elements and the real world. A shaman of sorts."
She decided that for unknown reasons, she did trust him and if he says he can turn into wind, why should she second guess him.
"Where are we going?" Laura braced herself for another cryptic answer.
"How about Great Canadian Bagel?"
Laura blinked.
Ku'uaki smiled and helped Laura put on the rest of her coat. He offered his arm and the two left the building.
