Abby hated women who felt they were powerless. She had used that trait in Laura to pump information out of her about Fredericton. It sickened her.
She threw a lovely wool poncho on over her blouse. It would keep her warm until she could find herself another coat.
She once again cursed herself for not learning to drive. At the start it was because it wasn't a ladylike thing to do. Nowadays there was no such stigma, but Abby just couldn't bring herself to get behind the wheel. She could always think of something better to do.
Acording to Laura there were some shops down town where she could get the sporting equipment she needed. Pity Laura didn't know much about clothing stores. All this "Women's Liberation" hadn't empowered women, it had taken away the things that women were good at. Most women these days couldn't put a decent outfit together.
She would have to work on Laura later. Now she had her outfit to put together.
