Laura could not believe what Abby was doing. They had bought their tickets and had hidden in the crowd for when things would go bad. When the crowd started panicing, Abby had power jumped her way to the arena floor. Now she was challenging a Goddess. Laura had to help her. She elbowed her way down until she was at the edge of the seating.
"Who is this that challenges me personally? They are either great or they are fools."
"I, Abby Steinhelm, do challenge you apon this field of honour that is now stained with blood."
Freyja stood up and the crowd stopped moving. They stood like little kids waiting for punishment. Punishment they did not know the form of.
"Homour compells me to take your challenge Abby Steinhelm."
"Abby!!" Laura screamed at the top of her voice from wher she was standing. "You can't -- you still are not healed from the vampire."
Freyja looked at Abby as the fingered her necklace. "Indeed, you have been sorely wounded recently. Very well, I will heal you then we can proceed with the battle. I would not have it said that I only bested you because you were wounded. Freyja waved her hand and all of Abby's wounds large and small simplely faded away. Abby stood a little taller.
"Your grace and wisdom have not been exaggerated. You are the challenged, you choose weapons."
"I see you carry a saber, then I will do the same." She snapped her fingers and a saber appeared in her hands. "You, marshal, declare the start of this battle."
The referee had hidden underneeth the ring. One of the timberwolves came and dragged him out.
"tweet..."
Abby was confident in her skill. She had found no one faster or stronger than her on earth. She also had skill to back that up. But this was different. She was up against a goddess. When she had started her challange, she thought that this was nothing more than some creature possing as a goddess. She soon learned the difference. Abby had to pull on all her speed, all her strength, and all her skill just to keep from being wounded.
