Young Officer Chad Tanaka was on patrol again.  The force was spread thin because of all the monster sightings.

Tonight he was investigating reports of wolves attacking someone in Odell park.

The trees were think and cast misleading showdows everywhere.  The moon was still full enough to illuminate the open areas.  Officer Tanaka had a feeling that what he was looking for wasn't in an open area.

He patroled the many trail in Odell Park.  His large flashlight illuminated a large area.  He had upgraded his flashlight since his encounter with the Kappa.  Now he had a large maglight.  Very bright and capable of rendering someone unconcious when used as a club.

The paths in Odell  park came in two types.  Steep and steeper.  His calves were getting sore from all the climbing and decending. At least he was getting a work out.

The sound of a wolf's howl put Officer Tanaka on alert. He paused to listen for more.  The call was answered by several more wolves.  Sounded like it came from the south end of the park.  Which was up the hill. No time like the present. He broke into a run.
