Tomo was always the first up. Demitri's mother had been up late doing some translating. Tomo didn't like the big glow-y box that Demitri's mother stared into for hours on end. He could understand lying in wait for some thing. but nothing ever came out of the box.
Tomo was hungry. Demitri would not mind being woken up, but Demitri was too small to get to the food bag. Tomo had learned from experience that you did not try to wake Demitri's mother after she had spent a night hunting the glow-y box. If he woke up Demitri, at least he would have someone to play with. Play won out and he went to hunt Demitri's feet under the blanket.
